Emlyn Jenkins is a former rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1930s and '40s who at club level has played rugby union (RU) for Treorchy RFC[1] and Cardiff RFC,[2] and at representative level has played rugby league (RL) for Great Britain, Wales, and England, and at club level for Salford, and St. Helens, playing at Stand-off/Five-eighth, i.e number 6.[3]

International honours

Emlyn Jenkins won caps for Wales while at Salford 1932…1936 4-caps, won caps for England while at Salford in 1934 against Australia, and France, and won caps for Great Britain while at Salford in 1933 against Australia; in 1936 against Australia (3 matches), and New Zealand (2 matches); and in 1937 against Australia (3 matches).[4]

Only four rugby league footballers have played initially for Wales, and then subsequently for England, they are; Emlyn Jenkins, Gus Risman, Jim Sullivan, and Les White.

Les Diables Rouges
